"Amazing place, definitely going back. Beautiful view, relaxing, close to nature, monkeys and colourful birds. Rooms are spacious. Staff making sure that you are comfortable. Couldn't dream about better holiday."
"The property is situated in a peninsula in Kalutara on a road with almost no traffic, a pleasant surprise in such a busy (and wonderful) city. The beach is lovely, but not swimmable because of strong currents.
The room was large and bright. The washroom was clean, and the shower was awesome. It was roomy and had a shower head on the ceiling from which a cascade of water came down. It was great! The bed was very comfortable and had a unique and very effective custom designed mosquito net that...
"Beautiful colonial plantation in quite remote location. Wonderful views, breakfast on the veranda watched by leaping monkeys. Food good quality, very pleasant service. Nice swimming pool with amazing views. Very large attractive rooms. Comfy bed. We would recommend."
"We were disappointed on arrival at the hotel insects in room and broken electric socket broken and very limited choice of food. Spoke to the assistant manager who was extremely apologetic and arranged to change us to an upgraded room and for us to eat at their sister hotel next door. Staff in this restaurant were very attentive and the food quality and choice were amazing"
"i really really really wanted to like this hotel but it was just one let down after the next. Got to hotel and was very tired had train and mill saws all night. "Lovely location and we enjoying visiting this beautiful colonial beach hotel however we were charged twice for drinks consumed in the lobby and moved to the terrace area despite explaining to the staff at the time and showing my receipts. Be careful and double check your statements as they take your bank card and disappear with it. They don’t need a pin or a signature to take money out. Shocking! "

"A very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Can’t fault anything. We were half board and there was an excellent buffet selection including freshly cooked and bbq to suit everyone’s tastes. For me I especially enjoyed the salads and non spicy dishes but the local breakfast I sampled was easy on the palate. Wish I could’ve sampled everything on offer. Loved the way the salads were presented in mini pots as well. We were given breakfast boxes on request to take away our pastries which was excellent. Enjoyed the sunset walks and there’s a shallow sheltered lagoon with soft sand underfoot and that was simply fabulous. Pool was lovely too. Room was serviced very well by Isuru who unfortunately wasn’t there when we left so hope he sees that. Very creative towel sculptures left on the beds everyday and lovely turn down. Thank you Avani! A most enjoyable stay. "
