"It is an old property and has been maintained somewhat unfortunately both the Bar and the Restaurant were closed we also had a hard time checking in as there was no one on the property just a note with phone numbers to call. I did eventually get a hold of someone and they appeared about ten minutes later. "Great location and nice welcome on arrival. Simple and practical, the room we had worked fine although the bed was a little uncomfortable. Small bathroom as you’d expected from a converted residence, but good dining room for breakfast and a microwave to heat up any meals you might bring back to the house after a long day exploring. Owners are not on site so don’t expect hotel concierge service! Everything worked and as a base for travels around Shetland the price is great!"
