"I stayed at this place twice now. I’m working overnight and I ask the property owner if there was any possible way for an early check in but all the rooms were being cleaned. So I was going to take a nape in my truck and wait about 10 later he knocked on my window and checked me into a room so I can get some rest, this was very kind of him because I’ve been to other places and they would make me wait till 3pm"

"The location inside Death Valley National Park was excellent! Really enjoyed our stay at Stovepipe Wells. The room was clean, large and comfortable. All the staff we met both in the lodge and the dining areas were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area, offering ideas of what to see and do during our stay. It is quite a distance to travel to any other restaurants from Stovepipe Wells but although we had three dinners and three buffet breakfasts there we really enjoyed all our meals. The food was well prepared, the portions generous and the wait staff, especially the waitress we had all three mornings for the breakfast buffet, were wonderful. Would definitely recommend staying and dining at Stovepipe Wells if visiting Death Valley. "

"We stayed in the cottages and it was a wonderful choice. Each cottage has a living room, a bath with a large tiled shower and a bedroom. The A/C worked quietly and well- a necessity when the temp is over 100. Plus it was very quiet at night which I appreciated. There was a large spring-fed swimming pool that was great for cooling off. The restaurants on site are good and convenient although a little pricey. It was great having a home base within the park. "
