A tale of two houses
The checkin was smooth. The location was great, however the cleanliness and maintenance were lacking. I really felt like Julie our host was not in touch with the property. We were messaged about a hose with running water in the pool. Which was probably left there by whomever does the pool maintenance. We were cautioned about it but knew nothing about why it was there, so we did not touch it. Told about leaving lights on in the pool that are burnt out or does not work properly. Several burnt out lights around the property. Ironing board broken. Received a message before checkin about a part to fix the washer, host responded back not knowing at the time, repair was complete. While sweeping around the front door area, i lifted the mat to sweep and found a spare key that unlocks the door,(don't know the story behind it but, I did inform Julie). I was instructed to put the extra key in the box. The lack of cleaning turned a 5 star place into a 2 star. After walking around the house for a few minutes in white socks, they were as if I walked outside. The place just needs a good deep cleaning and some minor maintenence.
