"Incredible spot and home in Crete. It's about a 90 minute drive from Heraklion airport but if you're looking for a spot away from the crowds, this is the place for you (at least at the end of June). Can't say enough about the view and outdoor space. When we were home, we spent almost all of our time outside at the huge table or by the pool. The beach and sea are just a few steps down from the house. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were great and very helpful....

"If you are visiting the Irepetra area of Crete, you can of course stay at one of the fancy resorts right on the water. But if you want a truly unique and memorable experience, THIS is the place to stay. Authentic, traditional vibe with all the necessary modern amenities, quiet and relaxing atmosphere, within walking distance of many Tavernas AND the beach, and in my opinion a better view of the Libyan Sea. "Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, would have preferred a sandy beach, but there is nothing the owner can do about that. The children enjoyed snorkeling by the rocks, and I enjoyed kayaking. Local restaurants were great, we didn't have to drive anywhere to eat in the evenings."

"We had telephoned the booking company and specifically said we had to be able to take our pet dogs and they needed to be allowed inside with us. We were told absolutely the hosue was pet friendly. When we arrived after. 4 hour journey we were told by the owner she would have said no but because we had paid they could stay but on,y on their beds inside. We were made to feel very uncomftable about the dogs. The floors were very dirty, you couldn't walk barefoot or your feet were black. No mobile...
