"Nicely updated, very clean, no frills accommodations. Very comfortable. Easy (free) parking. Staff very helpful. Standard help-yourself simple breakfast in dedicated space off the lobby---extra nice to have outdoor seating for that. I was there for a week and at check-in I was given a 3rd floor room for more "quiet." Very thoughtful. And, yes, there is an elevator. "

"Total false advertising. There is no pool and no breakfast at all except tea and coffee. Street side rooms are very noisy so get a room with balcony facing ocean. Rooms are very old and not updated but the manager Nazrul Khan did make our more enjoyable as he upgraded us to an ocean view room the next day which was so much better. "

"We were actually STALKED at this horrible place that always smells horrible and who’s long-term residents are actually allowed to FEED THE FERAL CATS !!! the manager was a useless idiot who attempted to gain entry to Our room by asking if he could “come in and take a look around” because “that’s what they ‘do’ for their ‘long-term’ residents (We were only there for two weeks)”. All in all We had a HORRIBLE time there and were HAPPY TO CHECK-OUT !!!"

"We liked the clean room and the great view of the pier and the ocean. The staff was awesome and super helpful. Wi-Fi is good throughout the hotel, and it provides beach amenities (surfboards and longboards, bicycles, chairs, umbrellas, games, and more). They have a really nice gym and a rock-climbing wall that we didn't use (wish we had), and we're not sure whether there's a pool. We purchased a breakfast package with our stay. The food was good but a bit pricey, and portions were small. I didn't understand why they charged for coffee or tea when it was free in the lobby (20 ft from the restaurant). Also, glad we bought the breakfast package because there is only one coffee shop open in the neighborhood (especially for early birds). If you are a cyclist, please bring your bike and join the penlone to ride with others. The hotel is on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and is literally about 30 ft from the door. My biggest regret is that I didn't bring my bike to join the penlone groups (I won't make this mistake twice), and we should have brought our pet. We recommend this hotel and will definitely be back."

"I made a huge mistake when I booked this room. Walking into a bare bones lobby with a plate-glass window between me and the hotel staff was the first clue. Speaking into the little metal grate and sliding my credit card underneath a slot was the second clue. Spotting the security cameras checking the hotel common areas was the third. A beer can was lying in a flowerbed area close to my room. A turned over shopping card was right outside my window. The room inside appeared to be clean, but I felt extremely uneasy and turned around and left."
