Comfy stay near the train station
A B&B in what appears to be the old family home. Administered Tautauchu Hotel next door, it isn't obvious but you need to check in, out at Tautauchu and the breakfast is served there as well. The hotel itself is quite nice, quiet to the point of being somewhat isolated (which also means very private) and is located walking distance from the Hualien train station. The rooms are largish and have nice beddings with extremely fast wifi (75mbps). The area is slightly off the beaten path so you will need to walk a few blocks to find food options. One caveat. Like many hotels I've found in Taiwan, there are no fire escapes and the windows are barred. It's a concrete building but there is only one stairway to the ground floor. Other than that, quiet, comfortable, well priced, attentive service.

Familly-run gem in Hualien
Very friendly and helpful family-run hostel, going the extra mile to make you happy. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend further. Simple but spacious, clean and quiet rooms with nice decorations. Good location.

民宿離花蓮火車站後站很近，早餐很好吃，也提供腳踏車租借。 這次住的房型鋪設了木質地板感覺很溫馨，美中不足是浴廁沒有乾濕分離，但瑕不掩瑜，下次有機會還會再入住!
