When is the best time to go to Howards Grass?

The best time to go to Howards Grass is during the spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) months when the weather is mild and pleasant. During spring, the region experiences comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C. This time of year is ideal for outdoor activities as the local flora is in bloom, making for particularly scenic walks and drives. It's a great time for couples to explore the natural beauty of the area without the heat of summer. Autumn also offers agreeable weather, with temperatures similar to spring, usually between 15°C and 25°C. The landscape takes on beautiful golden and amber hues, which is superb for photography and leisurely excursions. This period is often favoured by travellers looking for a relaxed trip, as the crowds are generally smaller than during the peak summer season. While summer (December to February) can be popular for beachgoers, temperatures can be quite high, often exceeding 30°C, and the area can be busier.

Santa Fe Motel & Holiday Units

8/10 Good

"All good, the laundry being locked, and no dryer was the only downside. Lovely location"

Ballina Palms Boutique Motel

10/10 Excellent

"We were so surprised by this lovely boutique motel. Attention and care has been placed on the rooms to make them an enjoyable place to be. The decor was lovely. The room was bright and had a proper little kitchen & dining table. All the staff we met were really friendly. We would just suggest taking Earplugs if you're noise sensitive due to nearby traffic noise. We highly recommend this motel and if we pass through Ballina again we'd definitely go back."

Ballina Beach Nature Resort

8/10 Good

"Such a soft comfy bed. I stayed in a glamping tent. Was hot so I. Glad there was AC. Only thing I’d like to see perhaps is a little mirror and a shelf to put clothes etc on. Yes I understand that it’s a ‘swag’ but if you have a bed and fridge and sink etc may sweep make it a bit more glampy and pop a mirror and somewhere to put clothes instead of on the floor. Good location. Short drive to beach, probably can walk it, nice little water park too. Clean and tidy facilities. Bit pricey for the glamping tent though. If staying for a while and want secure tent, bring a little padlock. They have one to use too. Overall good stay and would visit again."
