« Why is this place so expensive? It is a very typical older hotel and should be $70-90 per night, not $170. I should have stopped in Columbia or continued on to Kirksville. It is clean, with friendly staff and the breakfast was fine but the price is more appropriate for a much more deluxe place. »

« A really nice man, I believe the owner, checked me in. I didn’t see any staff after that. It was quiet and convenient for my stay on my Friends and Family Tour ‘26. I wasn’t expecting the Taj Mahal but I was pleasantly surprised at the comfortable bed and the clean room. A bonus, there’s a great coffee shop called Mia’s in Shelbina. It’s in the grocery store with a drive up. »

« Upside: Wonderful place to escape for a fishing trip. Spacious and accommodating for our group of 6. Neat layout/renovation with multiple fridges, AC units, TV's, and seating/counter-space for many!Downside: Location is off of a highway and large vehicles will "rattle" the building. We visited during a heatwave in early July and AC units weren't able to keep up. »
