The best time to visit Holford is during the spring (late April to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is mild and the natural beauty of the Quantock Hills is at its peak.

During spring, the countryside around Holford bursts into life with wildflowers, and the hedgerows are vibrant green. It's an excellent time for walks and exploring the footpaths and bridleways of the Quantock Hills, which are easily accessible from the village. The days are longer, and the temperatures are generally pleasant for outdoor activities without being too hot.

Early autumn offers a different but equally appealing experience. The deciduous trees in the surrounding woodlands turn spectacular shades of red and gold, making for stunning scenic drives and walks. The air is often crisp, and the crowds are typically smaller than in the peak summer months. This period is ideal for those who enjoy hiking and photography.

While summer (July and August) is also popular, it can be busier with more families, and the weather can be warmer, which might not suit everyone for strenuous outdoor activities.
