"Great home, minutes from downtown Highlands, but very private with the sound of the spillway and the river flowing around the property. Enjoyed the firepit overlooking the spillway of Mirror Lake and had fun fishing. Very comfortable for adults, teens, and children. Owner was very responsive. Very close to a number of great waterfalls. Kids mentioned they wanted to return."

"We had a small window of opportunity for a trip to Highlands, NC. I found The Zen Den on VRBO and the description met what we needed. The owner gave perfect directions on how to get to our location (the gps would have never got us there) and had turned the heat on before our arrival. The place was very clean and comfortable. The cooking situation was very limited but for our short stay it was fine. For two people and a short stay the Zen Den was perfect!"
