"This is a very nice hotel, very clean and beautiful setting. Getting to it is an absolute nightmare. One has to travel down almost 2 miles of dirt, gravel road up the side of a mountain, the GPS that I was using got completely confused and sent me down the wrong dirt road, someone from the hotel had to come to the town square to lead me cause it was impossible to find the place. Once there the hotel was great, staff from friendly and pleasant. If one is going to stay here make sure to rent a 4x4...

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Hârseni?
The best area to stay in Hârseni is generally within or very close to the main village centre, particularly near the Hârseni Monastery.

This area provides the most convenient access to local amenities and the region's main attraction. The village is compact, and hotels or guesthouses here typically offer a more authentic experience, often with views of the surrounding hills and farmland. You'll find a few local shops and eateries within easy walking distance.

For couples seeking a tranquil getaway, staying near the Hârseni Monastery offers a peaceful setting. The monastery itself is a significant landmark, and its surroundings are ideal for quiet strolls and enjoying the natural beauty of the Făgăraș Mountains foothills. Accommodation here often includes traditional guesthouses with a personal touch.

Families might find staying in the main village centre practical. It allows for easier access to any local facilities and open spaces for children to play.
When is the best time to go to Hârseni?
The best time to visit Hârseni depends on your preferred activities, but late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) offer the most pleasant weather for exploring.

Late spring brings warmer temperatures and blooming landscapes, making it ideal for hiking and enjoying the natural beauty of the Făgăraș Mountains. The days are longer, and the weather is generally settled, superb for outdoor adventures without the peak summer crowds.

Early autumn provides crisp, clear days with comfortable temperatures, and the foliage begins to change, offering stunning scenic views. This period is excellent for those who enjoy photography or prefer cooler weather for walking and exploring local villages.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation. To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Hârseni.
How much is the nightly rate at a Hârseni hotel?
Prices for hotels in Hârseni often vary, but you can find a great deal from CA $70 on Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as the time of year or the days of the week you choose for your stay. Find the best deals by being flexible with your dates, and sort search results by "Price: low to high" for the cheapest rate.
