"Communication with host before and throughout stay was outstanding. When we had problems getting the grill to work on the first night & she responded to our online message and stopped by to make sure we could resolve the issue. A great hostess! Cabin itself is gorgeous. The views are spectacular. We had a raging thunderstorm our first night & watching the lighting light up the clouds as they rolled over the river valley was amazing. Sunsets and stargazing were also beautiful. The roads to reach the cabin are loose gravel and it is very steep from the Hwy, but manageable for AWD and FWD vehicles.We had one issue our the first night during the storm. When the rain was heavy and winds were intense, rain did leak into the dining room window seals (facing the screen porch) and rain water did get in between the logs above the same window. Aside from that, we had no ongoing issues. There were a few ants in the kitchen, but we saw very few so long as we Clorox wiped counters after eating and put a at food.House layout is great for multi-family vacations. The bunk room is great for kids and each of the 2 queen and 1 king bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Pillows and mattresses were great and our kid and adult crew slept great. 2 bathrooms were large, clean & comfortable. One odd thing: so many light switches…not sure what they all do (some were not labeled). We’re already planning to come back for another stay! Great family-friendly property for our crew."
