Private Beach And Mountain Lake Home

"This property has everything you could need, the location ideal. The Pond/Lake and amenities were top notch! We loved reading about the history of the cabin and the area. The general store was a favorite spot! The cabin is well loved, and deeply personal, at first this was uncomfortable as we felt like someone would come home at any minute and we were in someone’s space. The cabin grew on us and we found it quaint, grew fond of the artistic quirks if you will and were happy to have it as our homebase. We did have to vacuum upon arriving as we had a crawling infant and there were visibly items on the rugs. The stairs are extra steep, not the most infant/senior friendly cabin. One of the bedrooms upstairs did not have ac or a fan, as someone who is always cold I even found it to be uncomfortably warm. Overall were we very grateful for our stay at Cabin In the Sky."

"The room and common areas were clean and well maintained. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful when we arrived, which made check-in a pleasant experience. The breakfast was good overall; however, breakfast service ended at 9:00 a.m., and by 8:30 a.m. several items had already run out and were not replenished. Since we arrived late the night before, the early breakfast ending time was a bit challenging for our group. One thing to consider when booking is room location. We stayed on the first floor and could hear quite a bit of noise from the room above us. If noise is a concern, I would recommend requesting a room on the second floor. Overall, we had a positive stay and appreciated the cleanliness and friendly service."
