This is a very high end hotel and like many other high end hotels they are charging a "Resort Fee". Even though we couldn't use the outdoor pool or hot tub because it's off season it has become a pet peeve of mine to complain about these charges. In addition we were there for 1 night to attend a wedding at the property, we booked this through Hotels.com only to find out most of the other guests booked direct and paid about $35 less than we did. All that said the bed was very nice, but high, and everything else was good too.

The property has a lot of work to do but for New Hampshire, it’s a solid option. It has a pool (that weirdly allows non-guests with a day pass, but ok) that my kids loved, but no pool service or food allowed so not relaxing for adults. It has restaurants that are decent. It has a nice jetted tub (that has no table or anywhere to put anything you may need in the tub down because of its thin lip). It’s has a nice big shower (with no door). All the good stuff is very much “but if they only did this..” The bad stuff is the staff training. Now given, we went mid week, but no one helped us with our bags, no one offered us the champagne that they allegedly offer people when they check in, and worst of all on our second night there our baby had been up all night and so I went downstairs to give my wife a couple hours of sleep and walk around with the baby. The baby needed a change after about an hour but I realized I had forgotten my key in the room, so I went to the front desk and asked for their help. The worker proceeded to ask for my ID and I let him know that I forgot all my cards in the room and if you could help me out, that would be great. He said he couldn’t give me anything without ID but he would walk me to the room. I agreed. When we got to the room, the man proceeded to knock on my door, waking up my entire family, and then stood in the doorway until I got him my ID. This was at 7:30 in the morning with an eight year-old, a three-year-old, and a six month old. Lame.

I had heard that this hotel was very good, but I was blown away on the outstanding quality of everything! Absolutely beautiful, regionally appropriate decor and architecture. Wonderful property!!!

Absolutely beautiful room! Spacious and so nicely decorated. Fireplace was wonderful and bathroom was gorgeous. We were only passing through the area for the night, but would’ve loved to have stayed longer at this great property.
