The highlights: \- Hang out in the large screened-in porch or around the fire pit \- Relax in the hot tub \- Grill on the spacious deck \- Enjoy fast, reliable Frontier Fiber \- 3 min drive (or pleasant walk) to private river access for swimming, fishing, & splashing around! \- Drive 20 mins into Berkeley Springs for amazing restaurants, shopping, & dozens of festivals The Space: Our family-friendly cabin is packed with amenities and fun for couples, families or small groups of friends. The cabin includes: \- 2 bedrooms: one with a queen bed, and the other with a queen + twin bunk combo (3 beds total) \- Additional pull-out sofa in the main living room \- Fully-stocked kitchen with stove/oven and microwave \- Gas Wood stove to keep you cozy at night (plus baseboard heaters if you want to keep things easy) \- Fast, reliable Frontier Fiber — perfect for streaming your favorite shows or staying connected with video calls \- Outside fire pit with seating for the whole gang \- An outdoor yard game treasure box full of activities for kids and adults: cornhole, volleyball, soccer balls, horseshoes, and many more! Our cabin also has private access to the Cacapon River, just a quick 15 min walk from the cabin. It’s perfect (especially on a hot day!) for swimming, fishing, or splashing around. Our cabin is secluded, and without cell service. While we have fast and reliable Frontier Fiber, there will always be the rare Frontier Internet outage that is beyond our control. In that case, you'll truly be "off the grid," with no cell or Internet access. This is rare, but we do ask that you plan accordingly. Also, we have plenty of board games and outdoor games to enjoy! Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. AWD or 4X4 is recommended. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However, there are many side roads that are gravel or hard-packed dirt surfaces. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. Most front-wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing the property from these roads if you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low-profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice, you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during the winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control. Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up! We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic). Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close to Berkeley Springs (a 20 min drive away). The hot tub was amazing and the host even confirmed the handyman checked it before our arrival. Venturing out, there are so many cool places to visit. There wasnt wifi and the number that was left for us couldnt be used on the house phone. None of this hindered our stay though. Hot tub was the reason we booked and very easy to use and enjoy. no neighbors on that side of the house. We had a fun time with all of the games movies and puzzles. Had a great visit to the cabin and Toni was a great host. I was seeking a secluded cabin with a clean hot tub/firepit and that’s what I found. The host was great about expectations… you absolutely need a suv or Awd to maneuver the hill driveway in the winter but it’s so worth it. No wifi and no cell service, it was fantastic to disconnect. The advice to arrive with groceries and firewood was a must follow. Comfortable bed. There is another cabin the property looks down on but that’s to be expected. Really only noticed them when they were loud or in their hot tub but overall the property was so silent! If you’re seeking solitude, nature and stargazing… this is a great choice. Check in was easy and the management company was super responsive. Negatives: The place is a little more run down than I had expected based on the positive reviews and price. The management company was super responsive and lovely - but there were so many issues that I still have to give it three stars. Most importantly, the shower was broken. No shower for the whole weekend and the bath wasn’t an option since the hot water heater runs out very quickly. I’m guessing they will fix it before the next guest. Not negative but good to know: the road is really steep. We were there in September so ideal weather. I got up it in my Jetta but I wouldn’t recommend it for a nervous driver or in any kind of winter weather. ##### Megan P. Well furnished with comfy beds and sofas. Good selection of movies and games. Hot tub, grill, and firepit also a huge plus. No complaints, and looking forward to staying again! 4wd is recommended for the last 1/4 mile because it is steep and unpaved with several large rocks to clear or watch for as of March ‘23\. Seeing the sunrise from the hot tub while listening to the woods wake up should be on your list of things to do. Berkley Springs Brewery is a nice spot with good selection.
