"I went to this hotel during a very busy week in London. I was actually relatively impressed with how easy it was to get to and how nice the room was. Nothing to complain about there.
What was really disappointing was the restaurant and bar situation. There were very few nearby restaurants, so when I checked in, I asked what time the restaurant and bar would open. They told me the bar was opening at five (it was the day of the England match) and that the restaurant would open at seven.
The bar didn't open. The restaurant didn't open. And the staff at reception didn't even know.
I kept coming back and asking if things were open. They looked really confused. In the end, it transpired that they didn't have enough staff to open either the bar or the restaurant. On a World Cup match day. When people were desperate to get a drink.
Really disappointing that they just didn't have this information."
