"This mountain log home is an amazing property especially for a large family! The views are spectacular! Parking is plentiful. The numerous bathroom and bedroom spaces along with the abundance of washers and dryers gave our children’s families privacy accompanied by large entertaining spaces in which to come together to visit, play games and eat. The kitchen space and amenities are wonderful for big family cooking. The home was very clean and we were even able to check in a little early. Our only downsides were: the sulphur smell of the water; hot water worse than cold which did seem to subside with use. The 2 upstairs bedrooms did get hot at night and we could not seem to correct the temp with the thermostat. Opening windows did cool down the rooms but that made it difficult for family members with allergies. Finally the smoke detector in the upstairs Moose bedroom kept chirping, as when the battery needs changing, 2 days before we were scheduled to leave. The TALL ceiling height and the position of the detector behind a large elk shoulder mount made the battery difficult to change which we were directed to do ourselves by the property owner. Garage ladder was not tall enough. We were directed to an extension ladder under the deck but didn’t feel comfortable getting that out especially later in the evening. Family members could not sleep in that room with the chirping. Other than those issues, we loved our family vacation at this amazing log mountain home."
