We thought it was a clean rustic place. Kitchen was def basics but we knew that. Had a fabulous campfire and met many people from all over. Very enjoyable. Slept well. Hot showers. No complaints

Cabins are awesome, very clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the shared kitchen; it's very dingey, the hot plates and toasters barely work, and the cleanliness is an afterthought. Improving the kitchen area would turn this place around instantly.

Ok, we had a great time here. It’s not a plush, landscaped, groomed resort, but if you want a good, comfy, clean, well maintained cabin in a beautiful mountain setting, with a awesome fire pit to hang out at at the end of the day and enjoy life with people from all over the place…. then come here. Great base camp for exploring everything around Golden and vicinity. Rustic but we loved it. Someday, we will be back

We loved the cabin and the great outdoors. Community kitchen was well stocked with everything to cook our meal. The dog loved it. Lots of ground squirrels to keep her interest.

This place has great potential and great concept. It is a beautiful setting which I wouldnt change. Not sure where 'jim' is but dont think he has hand for a while. Great place for us ageing campers that cant cope with the hassle of a tent but this really needs a makeover. Enjoyed it though despite the hygiene issues around the bbq. You need water and be prepared!

Location was unique with steep drive up -- nice view of the mountains after walking through the dense growth of foliage, shrubs and tall trees. No lighting in the kitchen area and overall general poor lighting. Appliances ok. Bring your own potable (Bottled) water and bathroom tissue, JUST IN CASE. Bathroom was clean and ok overall.

This was our second time staying at this property - I gave it 4/5 stars because of a few things that could be improved. The cabins are quite dark, and 2 out of 3 lightbulbs in the bathroom weren’t working - more light in the bathroom would have been great! Also, the carpets seemed a bit dirty. Bed was quite hard but we slept ok. The fans kept the room surprisingly cool! Nice to have a larger fridge, microwave, kettle. There is no coffee maker, just instant coffee. The property is very cute (outdoor “nature” gym, nice lookouts, fire pit), we were not there long enough to enjoy it though. Appreciate the eco friendly touches.
