« Power went out often on the island, a generator is needed at this property. Out flight was cancelled and we lost a day. I was told we would get credit for that but haven’t received confirmation of that yet. Location is okay, taxi service is a few blocks away, restaurants close. Not sure if I’d return or recommend at this time, still waiting on owner to honor his verbal agreement. But no matter what, a generator is desperately needed to protect a quality experience. »

« The property itself was very nice and had a nice breakfast. It is not walkable however like reviews say. That is misleading. There is a hill to walk up to get to the property and then a very steep driveway to the actual rooms. We were told by a couple taxi's they can't drive up it. We had to lug our luggage up this because reviews said it's "walkable". »

« L’hotel est situé en montagne avec une vue superbe sur la ville. Nécessite une voiture ou un taxi pour les déplacement. Le restaurant était fermé en raison d’une tempête tropical le mois dernier mais le resto Sib’s pas très loin était parfait et peu dispendieux et prisé des locaux. Belle piscine ensoleillée. »

« The room was very clean and had great amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly. The space is beautiful and charming. Bartender and Restaurant staff were exceptional and the food was amazing. My only piece of feedback would be to add some lounge chairs near the pool. But next time I come back to St Thomas there is no doubt I’m staying at Hotel 1829! »

« Do NOT plan to arrive early to this hotel or be treated kindly. We arrived around 3:00 pm knowing that check in is at 4 pm, but most hotels can accommodate an early check in if the rooms are ready. We explained that we would like to check in so we could freshen up prior to our 4:30 pm cab pickup and dinner reservation at 5 pm. The front desk person didn’t even look at her computer and told us check in is at 4\. When 4:00 arrived so did the line of people. We had to change our reservation and...

"Outstanding apartment in Saint John. The location is fantastic, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to beaches, restaurants, and local attractions. The apartment is very clean, spacious, and perfectly equipped, making the stay extremely comfortable from start to finish. Everything is well thought out, from the layout to the amenities, and it truly feels like a home away from home. The place is quiet, well maintained, and ideal for a relaxing stay in the Caribbean. Communication was smooth and professional, with clear instructions and excellent responsiveness. An excellent choice for Saint John — I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it."
