The steps to the apartment are steep, as people have mentioned, the bigger issue is that they’re uneven, so you suddenly meet a step that’s a lot deeper than the others, it’s not too bad going up, but be careful going down. "We had a great time in Ghent. The apartment was small but clean and newly renovated. The location was a buzzy student area with lots of bars and fast food outlets, which was fun, but could get a little rowdy on weekend evenings. Buses into the centre or to the train station were a few minutes walk away. (Different directions) The Belgian people that we met were kind hearted and generous of spirit."

"We had a great stay! The room was just as the photos. There were towels, tea, a hairdryer, and a kettle. At the entrance, there were recommendations for bars, restaurants, and activities. The location is also great! What could have been better was communication prior to arrival. I had to fill out a long form to receive check-in instructions, and I also had issues with the instructions. Contact via WhatsApp was helpful and quick in resolving the issues."

"The property was beautiful and the location was perfect with a nice view of the castle. The only two issues we had was the air conditioning not working (which I’ll chalk up to the heat wave) and the stairs to the apartment. The stairs were windy and narrow. I was traveling with my older parents and they had a very difficult time. I would suggest adding the stairs into your advertisement. Other than that, I absolutely loved the place."

"Great location for walking to city centre. Friendly, efficient and helpful Reception staff. Limited (and a little expensive) but convenient on-site, secure parking. Good food in the Dali restaurant and excellent breakfast buffet (included in room rate). Studio was spacious and well equipped with sufficent facilities to prepare a simple meal and relax in the evening if you do not wish to venture out to a restaurant after a day sightseeing. Ghent is a lovely, walkable city and we would absolutely stay at Castelnou again."
