Het hotel heeft een hip en moderne uitstraling en geeft in eerste instantie een positieve indruk, tot je op je kamer komt en direct wordt geconfronteerd met een chemische lijmlucht. Daar blijft het niet bij want bij het openen van de badkamerdeur komt er een weinige plezante rioollucht overheen. Na ons daar overheen gezet te hebben bleek dat de douche met de warme kraan volledig opengezet alleen lauw water te geven. Het gezellig samen een filmpje in bed kijken zat er ook al niet in vanwege het ontbreken van een normale zender - geen Nederlandstalige zenders, en de bbc zenders gaven geen beeld. Bij het uitchecken aangeven wat er allemaal aan schortte, maar er werd bijna schouderophalend gereageerd met o.a. het bizarre argument dat de rioollucht misschien niet zo gek is in zo’n oud pand… Geen voorstel voor enige compensatie, maar meer van zoek het lekker uit. Enige aandachtspunt: de bedden zijn best hard en het stapelbed had een lage rand, waardoor we een beetje bang waren dat je eruit kon rollen. De hoofdkussens zijn wel heerlijk.
