"Stayed for the 4th of July weekend with 8 people and had more than enough space in the house for all of us. The place was clean when we got there, and everything was great for a weekend away from it all"

"I loved the beautiful cabin with two full bedrooms with closets and a full equipped kitchen and lovely bathroom and living room and dining room table. Looks newly renovated. They thought of everything to make guests happy. The welcome center looked new with beautiful open layout with new pool table , fishing poles , different games and activities. I Also loved the porch overlooking the creek and mountains! Absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. I will definitely be back for another getaway. It’s absolutely gorgeous out there!"

"We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Black Bear. The cabin was everything we needed and super comfortable. The hot tub, the view from the back porch, the quiet was spectacular, especially the nature's light show in the trees by the creek at night. It was magical. Hope to get to stay again. "The stream invites you to sit outside, relax and enjoy the peace. There is a welcoming homey feeling as soon as you walk in the door. Everything was very clean and ready to be used. Dave was quick to return emails and gave me wonderful suggestions for places to visit and restaurants to try. I would definitely recommend staying here. "

"This is a great place to stay if you are interested in being away, seeing the stars close to the dark skies formal parks, and if you have a pet and kids. It's got the cozy feel of a cabin with a great deck. We were there in a heat wave and the owner had two AC units put in for us-I am guessing that is not normal for the area-if it had been a few degrees cooler we would have slept with the windows open). They had smart TVs and 3 ways to make your coffee (thank you for the French Press), as well as a great grill and a well supplied kitchen with pots, pans, plates, etc for us to cook there. And a good number of games and puzzles on top of it all. It took 20 minutes to get to Cherry Spring State Park-and it was worth it! There are a few hikes within easy access too. Our Corgi was welcome and relaxed in the space quite easily-she also enjoyed the porch. We would book it again! "
