"The room was clean"

Bear Lake Gathering House- PRIVATE pool! Sleeps 30+, pets with approval!

"The host helped us when we arrived to check in and helped us to understand how the place worked, especially the pool. They were also available if we had questions. They were friendly. The place was very nice. It was clean, there was a large area for our family to meet in. All of the towels and the bedding were there available for us, and a washer and dryer. The kitchen was well supplied with griddles, pans, utensils, everything that we could have needed. They had two refrigerators, so that helped with storing our food. The dishwasher worked well. The beds were comfortable. Our grandsons wanted to sleep in the same room so they used the cots and that worked out well for them. The pool was lovely. We spent a lot of our time in it. There were water wings and flippers for the little kids, balls, toys, just a lot of things to keep the kids entertained. We also enjoyed the hot tub. It felt wonderful after a long day. We felt the pool was very well protected from children. There is a code to get into the pool plus a lock that was at the top of the door. That made it very safe for our little ones. Some of the family went to Minnetonka Caves, others went to the park in town near the Oregon Trails Museum. This place feels like you are out in the country, yet it is just a few minutes from town. We didn't use the fire pit, but it looks really nice. We were going to use it but we just ran out of time. We had a great time there."

"We loved this place. Right above an old newspaper printing office in an historical building. I love all things historical. Loved all the wooden ceilings, the windows, the whole street! So very clean and open. Lots of space. The street lights are right outside the bedroom windows, but it didn't bother me. The curtains blocked most of it. Our host was really nice. The pizza place is just up the street, a restaurant just down the street, and practically right next door is the Butch Cassidy museum, although we were never there at the right time to see it. I would've loved to see that. We were close enough to visit Bear Lake one day, and The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone another day. I would definitely stay here again."

"We had a reunion of 36 people at the property. Adequate space for us to eat and mingle. Kitchen had two large fridges with ice maker. Two stoves. Lots of cabinets. The property was an old mill. So the inside is a combo of old timber's and newer woodwork to make the space divided up into many rooms, bathrooms and other spaces. The 7 toilets and 4 showers were adequate. The mattresses are basic grade. Bedding and towels are fresh. We had a couple of issues that were addressed immediately and we got a small compensation for a broken bed frame. Remember to bring laundry soap and paper towels. We enjoyed the fire pit and grassy area out back for lawn games etc. it's about 20 min to north beach of bear lake. 15 min to Montpelier where there are two major grocery stores."

"Our family loves staying at this home. There are enough bedrooms that each of our children has a room for their family. There are plenty of bathrooms, so never a need to wait. The kitchen is roomy and there is an extra refrigerator in the garage just outside the kitchen. The kids love the yard with the sand pit/volleyball court. There is plenty of room for them to run around outside. In the evening they enjoy making s’mores around the fire pit. The grounds are spacious and well kept. The bunkhouse is great for a family or as a space for the older cousins to hang out. The owners are gracious and accommodating as is the sweet lady who cleans for them. They even went to the extra effort of personally returning , all the way to our home in Salt Lake city, some items we had unintentionallyleft behind. I can’t really say enough nice things about this home and these owners."
