The Lava Hotel

The Lava Hotel

8/10 Good
"Actually, this is a five star property in regards to basic amenities and a hot spring pool. The lower star rating is almost all because the property does not have operating video cameras, and I found this out because another guest backed into my vehicle while at the property during my stay and staff (otherwise 10/10 helpful) explained the footage is not recorded. This seem like a management issue."

"Very unique place. A location geared for adults. Every room is themed on a book. Full kitchen to use which was great, considering that we were coming off of 8 days of camping in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. In the living room and dining areas you are surrounded by book shelves and literature for the activity in and around Lava Hot Springs. Woke up the next day to a continental breakfast laid out. Staying there was just us and another couple, so it was very quiet. Everything was handled online. No staff at the premises. Super easy. I highly recommend it for anyone, and would definitely stay again. Small town vibe for the whole city. And it has hot springs!"
