THE SPACE
This newly remodeled beach home sleeps up to max of 8! It is located just half a mile from the beach & two blocks (just walking distance) from the community pool & park.
It features 2 king beds, 1 queen bed, and a full XL over queen bunk bed upstairs. The primary room has a dedicated workspace for those who want to have some quiet work time.
The gameroom has a TV, futon, multigame arcade, pool table,, pingpong, fooz ball, air hockey and darts! Lots of space to have fun and chill while you enjoy the fresh sea air! Come and book our fun place now!

Guest access

Guests will have access to the whole house (except the pantry and the large storage in the backyard that will be locked for owner use) and there will be no shared spaces with others. Check in instructions will be sent the day before check in date to the guest email provided for the reservation.

This home also features an outdoor shower located in the covered garage area, close to the stairs to rinse the excess sand from the beach before entering the home! Please use it to help keep the house clean!

We recently stayed here for a week while my daughter had a softball tournament. It was conveniently located to the beach, had a few super close food options, and was only 15 minutes from "town". The house accommodated three families (7 adults, 3 young girls) perfectly. I also had my toddler and the pack and play that was provided was great since we forgot ours at home. Also having toddler utensils provided was a bonus. The area was quiet and there was no traffic since its on a dead-end street. There is a little water run off area right by the house where our girls found crabs. We did not use the game room as much as we thought we would, but it was a great area and would be nice for kids to hang out. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and dont have any major complaints.

Family Beach Vacation

Our annual family getaway at this home was very enjoyable. The house was clean and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The game room was enjoyed by all, and the fenced yard was a plus. We would definitely stay here again!

I got this place for my son and friends. I listed all of their names and ages. We had 4 cars and one day parents came over to take pics of the boys before we left to San Luis for professional pics and dinner. The “neighbors” were complaing that we had 2 extra car & 3 adults there for 45 minutes. also that there were “young men” on the patio. wow! yes the young men listed and the extra people and cars were immediately gone within minutes after i even explained myself to Jose via text/ what we were doing quickly. I still yet got another message regarding the same issue, so explained myself again via text and had been long gone. When my son and I got there Friday, there were 2 dead frogs at the front door and the whole area smelled like dead animal, so I had to get rid of them myself. The bbq pit is absolutely horrendous & not even 1/2 of the burners work so after 2 hours of trying to start it, bbq burgers and hotdogs I decided to hurry and let them finish cooking in the oven since i had 7 hungry young men to feed. the game room should be aired out completely because it smells like old and rotting moth balls combined w/eggs so we had to do that ourselves so the boys could enjoy it & run to buy some febreze to spray the rest of weekend.

Short Family Get Away

The place was great for our short stay. My three kiddos absolutely loved the gameroom and area to run around in. It was nice to have a fenced in backyard so I didn’t have to worry about my 4-year-old running away. The house had all of the essentials provided, including coffee, shampoo and laundry detergent.I appreciate not having to have that expense. One downside was that we didn’t have access to ice or water from the fridge. We did not bring any drinks with us so as this point wasn’t mention we in the original description. In the Texas heat, I would think that this would be essential to provide. Yet, the host was always good to communicate when we had concerns. One other thing that I would advise is to bring your own beach chairs. The ones provided were greatly torn, dirty and had bird poop in them. The sand toys needed a good going through as well so bringing your own would be advisable. Last, the surface of the place looked clean but as we spent time in the house… dust was piled up in places (… like on picture frames), metal was rusted in places and lights were not working. The house could probably do with a deep clean and touch-up of places. The games needed to be reorganized as well. Overall, it was a good stay.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!!

The trip started out like any other trip, no problems. Then the 2nd day we all go to the game room, including our 13 month old son. My husband SITS on one of the torn up futons HOLDING our son and the legs fly off in different directions. The air hockey table also did not work, and the ping pong table was wobbly and unsafe to say the least. Not the worst part…. The fridge upstairs stops working 2nd day ( Christmas Eve) and by dinner it is 53-55 degrees in the fridge, food ruined. We message the host (we know he can’t 100% control) and HE offers a full refund- makes sense since now we have to leave a whole day early- on Christmas morning. Morning of 27th comes around magically he is only offering us part of a refund because his cleaning lady says our dogs left hair everywhere, we did not allow them on the furniture, and the repair guy said the fridge and freezer were working as if we would lie and throw out all of our food and cancel our son‘s first Christmas trip. No.I am sure the host will message back with some excuse or some message saying how we were horrible renters. I have rented 10 houses off of here and never had a problem until now. We always leave things spotless. If anything happens in the house we let host know immediately. Have nothing but amazing reviews about my family from hosts. So this is not a renters issue, this is a horrible host issue.

Rented this gorgeous home during our AIA Sandcastle competition with friends. Loved the cleanliness of the home, comfort of the beds and couches, as well as the bonus game room. Excellent communication with home owners. Would rent again or recommend!

Labor Day Family Getaway

Overall, the house was perfect for the group! The game room was perfect for the kids and there was plenty of space for the grownups to visit. Jamaica Beach is much better as far as the Galveston beaches go, and you’re not far from Pleasure Pier

The Hurricane Couldn't Stop Us

The owners worked with us to rearrange our stay as it was happening on the day the hurricane was scheduled to hit. I understand he gave up his own family vacation to accommodate us which was above and beyond. We also forgot and left behind our car key and the owner's cleaner got that mailed back to us with a small handling fee. We are very grateful as that saved us a couple of hundred dollars by avoiding replacement. The property itself is very much like the pictures. There were a few things not working which were the fault of mother nature. The firepit did not work for us but I'm sure the owner will be fixing that as he seemed very conscientious. Or it could have been user error on our part. Everything else was in perfect working order. Lots of beach toys which we used and the game room was nice. I enjoyed playing Pac Man. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was amazing and had everything we needed. The property itself is located midway between the Canals and the beach. We drove our car to the beach each day but it is definitely bikeable and walkable in the right weather. The property is super clean. I loved the dog door for our pooch. We had no idea he knew how to use one. We ended up promptly installing one in our own house after that experience.

Perfect for families

I have to say that I’ve stayed at many beach houses and this one by far was the best for families. The game room was perfect for the kids to be entertained. The yard is fenced in so knowing the kids were okay when playing outdoors was a huge bonus. The home was very clean and organized. Having the extras like the wagon, tent canopy, & beach towels for the beach was great. That was less that we needed to pack. The 4th room was the game room which is great for a teen who wants to stay up late or away from the adults. Absolute great experience!

Fabulous layout and location

Stayed for a special family gathering. Great layout heads to beds for my adult children and their spouses. Wonderful upper and lower porches and game room. Even perfect for our small dog. Super responsive host. Would love to stay there again.

Relaxing home close to the beach

My family and I decided to take a quick family trip to the Galveston area. This home fit our family of 2 adults and 2 toddlers very well! The house is bright and comfortable and the hosts are very friendly and have great communication. The gameroom made a perfect place to hang out after putting the toddlers to bed! Just bring your baby monitors because it is separate from the house. It is in Jamaica Beach, about 20 minutes from Galveston and all the hot spots, which we wanted as we were looking for a relaxing getaway, uet close enough to enjoy everything Galveston has to offer wjen your ready fornit. The one negative to the area is there aren't as many restaurants around. The hosts have many beach essentials, books, games, and most everything you need to enjoy your stay! Highly recommend!

Great location, responsive host

The location is perfect, just a 2 minute drive from the beach and it was so convenient having a corner store on the way. The house was very clean and in great condition. We had some minor issues during our stay and the host was super responsive and attentive. We didn't end up using the game room as much as we thought we would, but the main house was perfect for our family of 6 adults and multiple kids ranging from age 13-1.5 years old. We loved having the gate at the top of the deck for our dogs as well as the very secure fence around the grass. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking. My family wants to stay here again next year!

Perfect Beach Getaway

The property is walking distance to the beach, community pool, gas station, and eatery. There is a small grocery within a mile. It has most about erverything,including fresh meat, and bakery. The houni se itself is has just about everything for family. The beds are super comfortable. The full si,e washer and dryer is a bo us. We were happy to have a fenced area for our mini daschunds.

Relaxing Getaway with Friends
