Our host was awesome, the food was delicious and he made our stay so enjoyable. He gave great recommendations for food and sightseeing. Make sure you spend at least one evening in the parlor to enjoy his Piano music.

Wow, Farhad really does a good job. This is a nice BnB close to the Friday harbor ferry. Rooms are nice and the owner is a gem. He plays classical piano in the evening and makes farm-to-table breakfast using his backyard garden and 250 year old sour dough starter. We had a great time!

A Class of Its Own

We enjoyed our stay. Farhad was an excellent host. He prepared and served delicious breakfast with ingredients from his garden. Also treated the guests with freshly baked cookies every afternoon, and an hour of his piano and wine soirée in the evening. We wholeheartedly recommend Friday Harbor Grand.

This bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations. The room was clean and comfortable, the piano playing (and wine) was delightful, and the breakfast was delicious. If we visit the island again, we will definitely return.

What an extremely pleasant stay at the historic Friday Harbor Grand. The room was spacious, the beds were dreamy and we had a complete mini-kitchen. The proprietors were most gracious, helpful and knowledgeable about the area and things to do. The gourmet breakfasts were amazing and the owner catered to my husband's many dietary needs. In fact, they bake, cook and prepare everything on site, featuring many gluten-free items. The owner's concert-level pianist evening soiree with wine was lovely and the warm, home-made cookies capped it all off every evening. I would highly recommend the Grand and will stay here again when we return.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at this beautiful property in early September. We walked up the hill from the ferry to a warm welcome from Farhad who gave us an overview of the property, what to expect form our stay, tips on seeing the island, and restaurant recommendations. He then led us to our room, the charming Garden Suite. The property is lovely with a beautiful garden, a gazebo and front porch to relax. All of the guests gather for a delicious full breakfast at 8:30, cooked and served by Farhad using fresh ingredients from the garden and eggs from the resident hens. Fresh cookies are delivered to each room around 7 PM, delicious Farhad also plays piano for his guests at 7:30 each night. Our schedule did not allow for attendance every night, but we thoroughly enjoyed the music when we were able to make it. He even has a harpsichord which he demonstrated and was a real treat. The location is walking distance to countless restaurants, shops, whale watching and adventure companies, rental cars and more. Note the property is a block or 2 up the hill from town, so might not be walkable for some.

Comfy and Convenient

A comfortable stay, walking distance from everything to do in Friday Harbor - no need to bring your car! Breakfast was plentiful and tasty - all vegetarian and mostly gluten-free. There's not a staffed front desk, so if your travel plans change, be sure to reach out to Farhad. Piano concerts were at 7:30pm every night, so we did not get to take advantage due to dinner reservations.

Everything about this B&B is outstanding. Large room with a beautiful deck. The bed was an extra large comfortable king. Leather reclining chair. Delicious daily breakfast with eggs and fruit from the garden. As a bonus in the evening the owner played the piano for entertainment. Restaurants and town very close by. We highly recommend this property.
