Situated in the community of Cleone, 2 miles north of the Fort Bragg city limits, in a country type setting, close to one of the best beaches and coastal accesses, the North Coast Retreat is the perfect get-away. The house is well appointed for families; friends and remote workers, as well as those who want to enjoy life, appreciating the beauty of nature and the coastal spirit. Just a short walk to the beach, where beautiful ocean views and sunsets are abundant. Bright skies, galaxies of stars, and the calming sound of the ocean are prevalent at this one acre property. Deer, birds and other wild life are thriving on the property for viewing enjoyment. Located close to MacKerricher State Park and the Haul Road paved trail, which provides a bike/walk path that takes you to Glass Beach, as well as the many galleries, shops, restaurants, and other attractions in the downtown area of Fort Bragg. We enjoyed a great get away from the inland heat. Was beautiful weather. We enjoyed the house very much. Saw many deer and a baby deer too.

Great peaceful vacation

The house was great! Well stocked home with plenty to do. The garden was beautiful as well as the wildlife! The garage games was a great way to unwind the days spent in the sun at the beach! Will definitely be booking there again!

We had a great time staying here! The kids loved all the activities in the garage. The property was super cute and very comfortable for our family of four! We enjoyed walking to Ward Ave beach access each day. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place with everything you need.

We enjoyed the neighborhood with a short and easy walk to the ocean and beaches. This home has everything you need and the backyard is beautiful! The owners were helpful and easy to communicate with! Definitely will stay here again on next visit to Ft Bragg.

Coastal Getaway

This house was the perfect spot for a family getaway to the coast. The proximity to the beach was perfect. The house was as shown on line (if not better), and the house was comfortable, well stocked and the yard was gorgeous. The hosts were very responsive. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great home!

Very comfortable and well appointed home. Lots of room to relax and a beautiful solarium. The location is amazing just a few minutes from the beach and an amazing bike trail. We had such a fantastic time ! Will definitely rent this house again!

This house is fabulous. Very clean. Great neighborhood. Kids became pros at ping pong in the garage. We loved the short walk to to the beach, and the quick trips to MacKerricher and Glass Beach. Thank you so much.

Howard and Kelly own a beautiful and fully stocked home in Cleone, CA. We stayed Saturday through Monday and had a great time relaxing. I fell in love with the sunroom and flower garden in the backyard. We were greeted by 4 deer that were eating in the back. The house is clean, updated, peaceful and just up the road from a beach. The house is easily accessible, and communication was top notch. I would LOVE to stay in this home again in the future.

Short walk to the beach

Had a wonderful relaxing time with our son and dog. Got up each morning and took the short 5 minute walk to the beach for a beautiful morning walk. House was clean, well stocked, and we had some pretty awesome ping pong battles. Backyard is beautiful and we ate dinner outside each night, roasted marshmallows and watched the deer at the back fence. Short drive into Fort Bragg. Overall a great stay.

Fort Bragg Gem!

What an amazing home! Not only was it absolutely spotless, but our hosts, Howard and Kelly, have thought of everything a guest might need and provided it! We cooked in the kitchen and had everything we needed. The house is bright and lovely. The backyard garden is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the deer and the sunset. The home is within easy walking distance of the beach, and and less than five minutes from downtown Fort Bragg. We will definitely be staying here again! Highly recommend!

Surprised and Very Pleased

We have not been to Ft. Bragg before and were really pleased with the property and its location. Owners were super responsive/helpful. A few more items in the cupboards, like olive oil and other essentials for cooking would have been great, but this didn't take away from our experience. Beach was amanzing!

Poor septic system

The property was beautiful and the house was very well maintained. The septic system backed up into the showers, and both toilets. We had to move to a hotel with 5 people and 3 dogs. There was a separate unit behind the house that we discovered had a person living there which was not an owner of the house. We did receive a refund, but it was inconvenient.

Location location location!

It was so close to everything we wanted to do. The house was beautiful and had plenty for my teens to do. Plenty of towels, beds were comfy. Living room was super cozy. Was the perfect relaxing getaway. Only thing that wasn’t perfect (and out of anyone’s control) was that walls are thin and you can hear everything going on anywhere in the house. But we sent the teens to the game room or sun room and all was well noise level wise. Great experience!

By far this is my best vrbo stay

The stay was so amazing..kids and adults both loved it alike…wish we have more time to enjoy and explore..The property was located just a few mins walk to the beach. House had a covered. Porch area with nice setting of chairs and a very good view. Adults loved it to relax there after tiresome day and kids were all busy exploring the open backyard and excited to see some deers right at the gate. I wish we had more time to spend in

Excellent all around

This property, just north of the center of Fort Bragg, is perfect for 4-6 people. It's nicely and comfortably furnished and supplied with several areas to enjoy. We had meals in the fenced back yard, inside the house and also in the lovely sun room. Each morning we began with the short walk to the ocean where an easy path followed the coast. You are close to Big River kayaking, tide pooling just south and plenty of opportunities for hiking among the Redwoods. Our hosts Howard and Kelly kept in touch and all went smoothly. We would certainly recommend their place for a great experience.

Everything we needed ... and the ocean!

We had a family reunion on the North Coast and it was fabulous. The home is loaded with everything we needed to cook feasts, celebrate birthdays, watch birds, talk to the ravens, see fawns nursing, walk .3 mile to watch sunsets, delight in wildflowers, hike, walk to the harbor seal rookery...and when we texted Kelly a question, she responded right away! Beds were perfect and towels were plush. Lots of blankets for the cool nights! The family was impressed!

Wonderful home with easy walk to beach!

We were fortunate to stay at North Coast Retreat for a whole month and everything we needed was right there. The home was very clean and spacious enough for our six family members. We ate breakfast every morning in the sunroom and often saw deer grazing. We walked to the beach (less than 10 min) every evening to watch the sunset. We made fires in the fire pit to roast hot dogs and make s' mores. We slept well each night in very comfortable beds. It was indeed a retreat from the cares of the world for us all!
