"We only stayed one night at Hotel Sahrai, but overall we enjoyed the modern design and spacious feel of the hotel. The room had a very stylish and contemporary atmosphere, and we appreciated the thoughtful welcome gifts as well.
The pasta we ordered for lunch was delicious, although the waiting time was a bit long, so we would recommend sharing if someone is in a hurry. We also ordered a Caprese dish, but what arrived seemed more like bruschetta with melted cheese and mushrooms rather than a traditional Caprese. We believe it may have simply been a miscommunication, so we politely accepted and enjoyed the dish without any issue.
The room and bathroom design, especially the glass elements, felt modern, fun, and a bit sexy. However, there were unfortunately significant clogging issues with both the wash basin and bathtub. In addition, the toilet had a noticeable sewage smell during our stay.
We also felt the grayish carpet in the room may need replacing, as it did not appear very clean and had a strong musty smell each time we returned to the room from outside.
That said, the room itself was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. With some improvements to the bathroom maintenance and carpeting, the experience could become much more enjoyable."
"Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans ce magnifique Riad. Le personnel est tellement attentionné ( Hasan, yusuf et Khadya et tout les autres membres de l’établissement). Ce fut un séjour parfait!"
"Beautiful hotel! The location in the medina can be difficult to navigate on your own, but the staff are very helpful in assisting with transportation. The pool, dinner, and breakfast were especially nice, making the hotel a beautiful oasis in the midst of a busy (and sometimes overwhelming) city."
"Everything was excellent. Beautiful riad, incredible people, delicious breakfast. They helped us get a cab from the airport, booked us a private guide, and made sure we had everything we needed. I slept so well and was extremely comfortable. Excellent location. Highly recommended"
"If I could, I would give more than 5 stars for this breathtaking riad in the old city Fes. If you are a frequent traveler, you probably have have experienced the catfish aspect of a property posting it's unrealistically beautiful pictures on these platforms. Riad Mazar Fes is the exception. Pictures don't do justice to how beautiful this exceptionally build and meticulously maintained riad. And that is not the best thing about it. For starters, it's people tops the charts.
Owner of the place Mr. Khaled treated us like family. He gave us time and attention, giving us a background of the place he build from ruins to a palace like riad. Being an arts and antiquities collector shows in his attention to detail here. He selected a wonderful staff too. Omar at the front desk couldn't be any nicer. He was willing to go above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable.
Having stayed in a riad before, I was afraid that our room would be another old and uncomfortable space. It was surprisingly very modern and had all the comforts of a 5 star hotel. Daily clean towels and sheets, clean bathroom, fridge, TV, A/C, hairdryer, you name it, it has it. I can name a few top name hotel chains that are not as clean and comfortable as the room we had.
Location is a walking distance to all attractions in Fes including the market, tanneries and historic sites, at thhe same time avoiding the noise and insccesiblity. You can park your car right in front of the property. I highly recommend it."
By choosing a hostel you can reduce your spending on accommodations and save more of your money for fun things to do during your trip. You can check out the historic sites and other cultural highlights in this destination, as well as activities like shopping.
