The dinner was ok, and the room was ok too. The bathroom is tiny, so was quite challenging. The room that we got was extremely noisy, and this went on for about until midnight. At first sight, the alley ways of the old city can be a bit overwhelming to someone unfamiliar with the layout of the Fes. However, they were safe to walk and the owner and his brothers were exceptionally helpful in giving us a map and directions. I think the real plus was they had painted signs throughout the maze from every point of interest on how to get back to the city. Furthermore, their rooftop restaurant had the most flavorful Morrocan food that wr had eaten in the country. They also packec us a breakfast and helped arrange the puckup for out desert safari. Rooms were clean, but it was very loud both during the day and at night. The food was good, but exactly the same each day with a very small menu. Good location and happy with the coordinated tours, but getting ahold of the manager was often delayed. Not only was the Riad a charming and well-located place, the staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. When you stay here you aren't just getting the benefit of the hotel. Fès can be difficult to navigate as a tourist, and the hotel is also useful for organizing other trips (e.g. guided tours, day trips). They use people they know, who are themselves honest (trust me - you don't want to get guides from the street in Fès!). The place is beautiful and very clean, and the staff were attentive — they were always checking if we needed anything.
