"The room was clean and comfortable and overlooked the canal. The restaurant was good. We had dinner there and the food was good but a bit expensive. The outside patio was great. We sat by the fire in the evenings, right next to the lake, and watched the boats going through the lift bridge. We had a really nice time and would go back."

"Staff were great, the view amazing! The room was not very clean, the kitchen floor had stuck food on it, fridge dirty, oven dirty, wrapper on the floor by the sink so it couldn’t have been swept even. The round table had a ring under the chairs of dust and dirt as if the chairs were never pulled out and cleaned underneath. All this led me to believe the bathrooms weren’t cleaned which leads to an unpleasant over all stay. The resort said they would send in someone but we were out during the time they could come and I had my things out so turned that down as I was not there. The garage door was right below our unit and it was loud. When I mention this to the resort and said the room should be discounted because of it—it’s constant all night— they said I should have requested a different room upon booking. To which I stated that was a completely ridiculous thing to stay as I had never been to the resort before and how would I know that it has a garage door in the first place to request not being by it! I would stay here again just because of the front desk staff and the view."

"The room was pretty clean, only a few questionable stains at the foot of the comforter, but hey, it’s a hotel, gotta expect comforter stains. The staff were helpful and I had no problems with check-in/check-out. Breakfast is decent, it’s your standard hotel breakfast: eggs, sausage links, waffles, cereal, breads, dairy’s, etc. nothing to fancy, but enough to fill you up. Had no issues with parking as it surrounds the whole building. The pool and hot tub are nice and both have appropriately warm temperatures. Just throwing it in the review because I can and I’m the one typing, there is a gas station in just about the same parking lot as well as across the street from the hotel which makes fill ups simple if you’re traveling from afar or are thinking you need to look for a place before you get to the hotel."

"Everything was wonderful, except we paid to have a lake view and both windows had broken seals. This means they were fogged up and had condensation between the panes. The left one wasn’t bad and we could still enjoy the view, so we didn’t raise a stink. But still… The other issue is that, for us, the bed was not comfortable. You could feel the crossbar through the mattress. Bottom line, the staff, and the ambiance erased any of the issues, and we will likely book again the next time we go to Duluth."

"The shower curtain was dirty inside and should be replaced. The toilet seat was loose and needed to be repaired. Otherwise everything else was very clean and well maintained. It also would be nice not to have to haul your suitcase down the stairs to get to the lower level rooms. A ramp would be helpful."
