Find hotels in Époye from CA $64

The best area to stay in Époye is within the village itself, particularly around the central square and the church, or in the immediate surrounding countryside for a tranquil experience.

Époye is a small, quiet village, so the "best" area is really about proximity to its few local amenities or the peacefulness of the rural setting. The village centre, though modest, offers the most convenience, with easy access to the local boulangerie and any small shops. This area is ideal for those who appreciate a relaxed pace and want to experience authentic French village life.

For couples seeking a romantic and secluded getaway, staying in a gîte or chambre d'hôtes just outside the main village offers the superb retreat. These properties often feature beautiful gardens and views of the vineyards or countryside, providing a very private and calm environment.

The best time to go to Époye is during the warmer months, specifically from June to September.

During this period, you'll experience pleasant weather, with average temperatures ranging from 18°C to 25°C, making it ideal for exploring the Champagne region. The vineyards are lush and green, and many local festivals and events are held. It's superb for couples looking to enjoy scenic walks among the vines and participate in wine-tasting tours without the chill of autumn or winter.

For those looking to observe the grape harvest, late September and early October can also be a good time. While the weather might be a bit cooler, you'll get a unique insight into the winemaking process, and the autumnal colours of the vineyards are quite lovely.
