« The photos do not accurately show how big and beautiful this house actually is. We expected a small cabin and were pleasantly surprised with how nice and spacious it was. The pool was great and the host was very responsive if I had a question. »

« Big Oak was spacious, quiet and serene. We picked pears from the pair tree, fished at the dock by the pond (caught three bass), spent evenings in the hot tub and slept comfortably on plush linens and sturdy beds. Big Oak was more than we ever dreamed. Home was clean and beautifully decorated. Loved the updated appliances and the outside patio area. Wine chiller was also delight. Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway. »

« My husband and I wanted to take our dogs for a relaxing lake weekend. This place was perfect. I actually didn't want to leave. The view was amazing. The home was more than what we had expected. It was very cozy and well kept. The yard was the perfect place for our dogs to hang out and be lazy when they weren't on the water with us. We paddleboarded all around the lake. Very few boats which made it more enjoyable. Just when we thought it couldn't get better a bald eagle graced us by flying over...

« My Son and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. As the description says, it is very secluded but also close to the interstate, so getting anywhere in the region is easy. Cell phone service is pretty limited in the area, but the host provides access to wifi calling which was easy to connect to. The place is very clean, setting is very peaceful and relaxing and communications with the host were excellent, would recomend for sure. »

« It was great fishing but no electricity and Jug water you have carry to be able take shower. Composting toilet . Everything would be great if you could drive to cabin you have walk away . And you use a wagon bring your stuff to cabin. We left to go get something to eat it started raining. So we had walk back to cabin in rain . And the water runs across right where you have walk to go to cabin . We got our feet soaked as well as ourselves. It was really a pain having us a wagon when we bought ice...

« This property could not have been more professionally presented! The homesite is spectacular and the grounds were meticulously maintained. The inside of the home was spotless and everything in cupboards and drawers could not have been better organized. If we have the opportunity again next year for this group. I'm sure we'll be reaching out to Verena to make the arrangements. This property gets a 5 star plus rating from me and my firends who stayed there. »
