"Nice hotel close to street"
Hotel location is very convenient to get everything you need with warmly kind hotel owner and her daughter. The only thing you need to be aware is expedia mobile site, US site and global site may easily mislead you doing a double booking, and you can never find it before your arrival which caused me being charged one night plus processing fee for a room I never used for USD 290. (if you happan to sign in with facebook which is not your primary account for expedia, and customer service always encourage you using mobile apps, download it! pay more for rooms you didn't use!)

"Great location!"
This hotel is great for the location and comfort of the bed. The staff in the lobby is a little difficult to deal with and come off annoyed at having to speak English but o stall it was a great stay.

"Good location, close to the beach, Tahai Ahu and r"
The rooms are very basic, which is what I expected on the Island. The staff are helpful and accomodating. Breakfast is adequate with bread, cheese and fresh fruit and unlimited coffee and juices. The terrace is very nice to sit and read There is no air conditioning but the fan was enough to keep the room cool. Nobody goes to Easter Island to sit in the room. The grounds are lovely with beautiful flowers. All in all a pleasant experience

"Hotel on the island of a dream of a lifetime"
We were on our honeymoon and looked over many hotels on the island to find the perfect one for us. I wanted a mixture of class, comfort and excitement. The pictures of the hotel looked great with a very outdoorsy feel. The pictures of the rooms were varied and at times it looked like a hostel more than a hotel, but they noted they had renovated rooms so I went for it since it was a 3 star hotel. When we arrived, the hotel shuttle was nowhere to be found- they later told us that our travel agency should have booked it for us, however I booked this directly through expedia so no "agency" was working with us. they should not publicize a free airport shuttle if they will not actually pick up people. Our room had a basic queen bed and a twin bed in it. The queen bed however had sheets that did not fit it! So every night when we went to sleep, the bottom sheet would move around and wrap around my husband that tends to move at night. That uncovered big stains on the bed which was pretty appalling. We also had an issue with the restroom: the toilet had an issue that it kept running because the pump was off. We let the staff know, but they did nothing about it. We had to keep lifting the back of the toilet to fix the pump every time we went to the restroom and our fingers kept getting covered with black dye from the pump - disgusting. The internet was a deciding factor for us as it was included in our stay, however it was terribly slow and we were not able to do anything with it.

"Great Location and Nice Owners"
When staying on Easter Island, remember you are in the middle of the Pacific and this is not a beach vacation. This hotel is in a great location, on the main drag in Hanga Roa, with a nice bakery next door. Your on the Island to see the archaeological sites and should appropriately adjust you expectations on most hotels, to its a place to stay and sleep while your not exploring the Island. We would stay there again. The owners were very friendly and attentive to our needs. When you make the reservation, you should send a note to the hotel asking for them to pick you up at the airport (free). On the ride from the airport, the owners adult son drive through Hanga Roa and show you around. He will also take the time to review the national park map and provide you tips for seeing the Island. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have multiple kitchens for guests to use, with tables in the kitchens and tables outside. We would walk to the bakery in the morning and get some hot out of the oven rolls and make some tea and enjoy the start of our morning outside.

"Great place to stay on the island"
We really enjoyed this place to stay. They were there to pick us up from the airport with beautiful leis and dropped us off at the end of our trip with a cool native style necklace. We could arrange a specific time that they would bring our breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was delicious: really fresh fruit, bread, ham, and cheese, plus some REALLY delicious milk (we were actually surprised how good it was). It was also nice to have our own kitchenette with fridge, stove, sink, and utensils so we could prepare our own food if we wanted. The staff was always really friendly. There is no internet in the room so if you are looking to access wifi you'll need to hang out in the lobby. A perk of it being located where it is, is that if you are at ALL concerned about tsunamis, Cabanas Orito is located a little outside of town and up a hill, so you would be perfectly safe there while a lot of the other hostels appeared to be in the tsunami zone.

"Clean and convenient "
The hotel is small, and very basic (no hair dryers in the bathrooms, no phones in the rooms, wifi is very slow, and the TV has limited channels which are all fuzzy). It feels more like staying in your grandpa's garage-guest house or a deluxe hostel, but it is tidy and comfortable. The hotel is located off the major road where most shops are, so you don't get any traffic noise (although the sound of chickens and roosters can be heard all over town, so there's no escaping that). It's in walking distance to everything in Hanga Roa (the town), including the airport, although you can't see the hotel from the street and there are no signs or other obvious markings to help visitors find it. The continental breakfast is fairly decent, with deli meat, cheese, breads, fruit slices, juice, and coffee. You can fill yourself up nicely with the offerings. As a bonus, the hotel is located in a tsunami safe zone, which I found out after the tsunami alarms went off following the big earthquake in Santiago, Chile! Just a heads up: I discovered if I left my bath towels on the floor they were simply hung up again when the room was tidied, and I was not given fresh towels. The owner (Hugo) was rarely at the hotel, and the older woman who was there most of the time speaks very little English so it makes communicating with her somewhat of a challenge. All in all, it's a good place to stay and I would book a room there again if/when visiting the Island again.
