"This was perfect for our needs - I really appreciated the ease of booking and check-in/check out, and the kindness of our host. The place was very much as it looked online. It was nicely furnished with comfortable beds and everything was clean. Very good value. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. "

My son and I were “stuck” in NYC for 2 nights due to the global internet fiasco. With literally no reasonably priced rooms with more than 1 bed, I used filters to drill down and found Pod. What a cool place!!! The location could not be better for the walking tourist, and the concept is genius. What a fantastic use of space and a focus on cleanliness. If I ever find myself in NYC, I won’t be looking for a place to stay, I’ll be staying at Pod.

I often don't leave reviews for stays but this hotel was actually really amazing. Everyone is happy and eager to help. I couldn't really find a single flaw about this hotel and its services. Looking forward to staying at bigger rooms in the future!

Easily walkable to/from Penn Station, Times Square etc. Staff were great, friendly and always willing to help. My only minor issue was the hotel is on a street that did not LOOK all that safe, it was dark and had some sketchy looking individuals. However I do want to stress that at no point was I worried something might occur, just be aware that it appears to look scarier than it is. We are spending another night in NYC after our cruise and I was hoping to stay here again, but unfortunately...

Central location and large room. Easy access to subway and citi bikes. Appreciated the mini fridge and good AC. Front desk staff were very helpful throughout the whole stay and went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in midtown.

This is the nicest hostel I’ve stayed in. The historical building is well maintained, the rooms and shared bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable.
It’s conveniently located in a beautiful neighbourhood and within walking distance to some iconic NYC spots. It’s also not far from an E-bike station.
I would recommend ear plugs and an eye mask if you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to the light coming in through the window.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in. The younger gentleman that checked us in was so kind and answered a lot of our questions. Plus the cookie and water bottle was a nice surprise!
The property is close to the ferry and Wall Street. You can walk to so many different attractions from the hotel which was very nice.
The hotel was modern, the elevator was brutal and the rooms did have quite a few stains on the beds.

Walked to Times Square. Rode the ACE line downtown to see comedy at the cellar. Also to Chelsea Market and Highline. Went uptown to Hayden Planetarium and spent an afternoon walking central park.
Dinner at Norma's and Sunset Blvd on Broadway.
Concert at pier 17 rooftop.
Breakfast at Gemini diner on 2nd. Nice walk. Blueberry pancakes.

There are lots of restaurants and public transportation in the area along with a health food store and grocery store. Great stay, budget friendly, clean and safe environment.
