Atholl House is a lovely inn, our favourite stay of a three week trip to Scotland. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts for our four night stay. Our room was very comfortable and we so appreciated the welcoming lounge where we had a drink at the end of busy days exploring the glorious Isle of Skye. The on-site restaurant offered self-serve breakfasts (included) with very nice locally sourced options, and great dinners as well. It truly felt like a home away from home. We highly recommend Atholl...

A gem of a hotel: excellent service, amazing dinners, beautiful setting and an attentive and caring staff. Would happily return!

Love this little hotel in the north of Skye. Cozy, clean and friendly. Great local food selection that’s cooked with culinary flair. Love it!

There is something so romantic about staying in a place that feels both secluded but with all the little touches of high end finishing a one could need. I want to address a few of the other comments, yes the physical rooms are small and do not have a lot of space for an American sized suitcase, yes the bathroom is small and is in the same hut therefore can lead to a lack of privacy for certain aspects of life so if you are looking for physical space and privacy from your partner do not book...

Absolutely fantastic, can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Great meals. Everything was top notch, definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Remote, but well worth the drive. It was so peaceful, and close to the fairy pools!

Breakfast

Lovely place, great view, very clean and very comfortable.

Have nothing bad to say. Our stay was perfect. The staff could not be friendlier. The breakfast was amazing!!

I had an excellent stay at the Sligachan Hotel. The hotel is steps away from breathtaking scenery for walking or hiking and a quick bus/car ride to Portree for shopping and dinner. Martin, the manager, was so helpful and kind. He drove my friend and I from Portree to our train because the bus schedule that day was not aligning well with our train schedule and morning activities. He also gave us great tips on the best things to do on the Isle of Skye and made sure that all of the guests were...

Convenient parking, nice view and central located.

This is a great, low-budget option that is family-friendly, clean, and quiet. Staff were all super friendly. The hostel is centrally located and across the street from a large, inexpensive car park. Everything in Portree is a short walking distance away. We stayed in a private room for 2 nights. The bathroom and shower are small and the water pressure is suitable for an elephant, which is great, but the shower head would not stay put and the pole it was attached to kept falling off, which we...

I wish we stayed longer. It was exactly what we were looking for our trip to Skye. Great hosts and lovely views. Very comfortable. Would definitely stay longer next time. 2 nights simply was not enough.

A great spot to spend a couple of nights and explore Skye from. Would definitely recommend.

Cozy and clean! The staff were so kind and helpful.
