No Sleep? This is the place for you
Location is fantastic for temple bar but do not expect to get any sleep. The noise is constant all night long until Morning. Road sweepers going past 24 hours a day, beer barrels being dropped and banging on the floor at 5 am. Temple bar is the place to be but your hotel needs to be away from there if you want any sleep.
Alles wunderbar, top Lage aber dementsprechend nachts schon was lauter

the location is right in the centre of the main nightlife hub. This is great if you are an insomniac but if you like to sleep for for than 30 minutes a night not so good. When the music eventually stopped in the early hours of Monday morning a combination of car alarms, screaming drunk people and police/ambulance sirens, finished any hope of getting more than 2 hours sleep.
The stay was pretty great only with a few shortcomings that I’m sure would be fixed for anyone else’s stay. The girls working at the bar are great and it made me feel really safe staying there alone knowing that there was basically an all female staff working…if anyone doesn’t get that it’s because girls normally wouldn’t work in a super sketchy area. I had questions about the WiFi and then was confused and they happily explained. When I dropped my bags off at 10 am they weren’t even open and the girl was SOO nice about taking my bags and even offered to help me bring my bags up 2 flights of stairs. I politely declined but it was still a nice offer! The place is extremely convenient and has live music at nights in the pub. The only downfall was the WiFi was a bit wonky and the tv only had 5 channels. Also, I was unable to shower during my stay Bc the water pressure was really just trickles but I’m sure it would’ve been fixed had I asked about it, however I was extremely exhausted on this leg of my trip. Oh another HUGE plus is that it’s right around the corner from where the Dublin express drops off (literally less than a block) and it’s a 5 min walk from where all the tours pick up. It also was a 10 min walk to the tram you can take to get to the Guinness tour! I actually got room service which I wasn’t expecting during covid times so big + to come back to a clean room after a 13 hour tour
It's on top of of a pub. There's no "front desk". We arrived late, as the pub was closing and the guys were cleaning up. I don't know what would have happened if we arrived after they closed since there's no front desk. We didn't have any issues so we didn't require any assistance from the "front desk". The rooms have a separate side entrance so that was no problem. The location is good. It was quiet at night since we were not there on a weekend, but I imagine it can get rather noisy on a weekend night. There also was no wifi. They said they have it, but the signal is so weak that it's not useable. But for the price, it was worth it.
Great location for being in the middle of Temple Bar area clsoe to night life and great bars / restaurants. Very noisy @ nights, hard to sleep, but worth it in my opinion as night noise does not bother me. My wife had a hard time sleeping due to noise.
The property location is amazing but the place doesn't have Air conditioning. The room was extremely hot and is not sound proof, so you can hear all the outside noise (Very hard for sleeping).
We were not informed that the building outside our window was being relocated. 6am to 6pm extreme noise. Pounding and cutting metal. The outlets in our room didn't work. The breaker would flip and no electric. Staff would be informed several times to fiv it and were in no hurry.
Perfect place to stay in Temple Bar
Rooms were great, food, bar great staff awesome

Just okay...
Not a bad place to stay, very standard. Bathroom cleanliness was not up to my standards, but I'm fussy about it being pristine clean and the caulk in the shower was a little black/mouldy. Good location, a little noisy but that's expected considering the area, the room was really cold, and the heat was barely working. The check in was very unorthodox: you go into the bar and wait in line with your luggage with the patrons trying to order drinks until you finally ask the bartender to check you into your room. No interaction with the staff after that. There's a key Dropbox for check out.

Etwas alt und hellhörig. Wi-fi funktionierte gar nicht.
Great central location to things we wanted to do. Clean and safe. Bathroom sink needed some attention but overall, room was great. Food and drinks and good craic in the pub handy as well
Great little room right in the hub of Temple Bar (do bring earplugs though because as soon as the bar noise ends the street cleaning starts up). The staff were very friendly and allowed us to store our big packs off for the day before we could check in. Our only complaints were that the blind in our window was broken which was a nuisance and our sheets were clean but had an old coffee stain.
This is a rather low maintenance, laid back place over a well-kept, lovely pub. Staff are friendly, but also tending to the pub ("reception" is in the pub!). It's not for everyone as it's in the hopping Temple Bar neighborhood and it is definitely loud (so much Cranberries!) late into the night. But we're quite independent and we enjoyed it. Great location. Friendly staff. We had a pint and a sing-along every night before retiring. Nice dining room as well. Pretty, modern rooms with good facilities. Enjoyed the experience.
Lively and lovely place to stay, right in the center of the Temple Bar area. Room was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant/bar downstairs was convenient and lots of fun!
This room was right in the middle of Temple Bar area, above the Norseman Bar. Noisy of course but we wanted to be in the middle of all the action. No hotel desk but bar staff take care of you better than most front desks. No elevator but this is not for retirees: 3 flights of stairs. Also they offered a room with 3 twin beds, hard to find in Europe. The restaurant food was some of the best we've had. Great experience for us.

Windows didn’t close all the way, air conditioning needed a manual or instructions somewhere, and fixtures were loose in bathroom. Room was otherwise modern and well kept. Staff were friendly and accommodating and checkin was quick and efficient- It was a novelty place to stay “for the experience” and it checked all the boxes. Not for an extended stay- but for a night or two is lovely. Yes, it’s noisy- but that was managed with a white noise app and being WAY too tired. I would not stay Thurs/Fri/Sat nights- way too busy/loud- but that ’s not the property’s fault- if they did some minor repairs - It would be 100%
We stayed at the Norseman two different nights with a 2 day tour in between. The first night our room was at the front of the bar/hotel and it was very noisy all night. The second night they placed us at the back of the building and there was no noise from the street, which was greatly appreciated. Management did their best to help and accommodate. It was close to all amenities and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see.

The Norseman is a great place to stay the night if you don't mind the nose. Also I would like to add the fact that there was no AC in the room or even a fan. You must at least add a fan.
