The Lava Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"A cute little place to stay the night. A nice little hot pool on property. Wish we would’ve had more time to enjoy the amenities or actually use the kitchen. I did find it weird that if you used the kitchen, they would want you to wash the dishes before you left. That makes me question if they ever get sanitized between guests or if we are just relying on the person before us doing a good job washing them?"

"This was a very fun anniversary stay at a well renovated old building. The rooms are retrofitted so well as to make it a great option. We stayed in the Indigo room which was very spacious and was very cozy with the fireplace in the winter after a night at the Lava Hot Springs pools. One word of caution. It is very hard to suppress the noise in a building like this though. You can hear almost everything that happens once things wind down in the evening. We felt a bit self-conscious about it in the late evening, even just going up and down the stairs late at night seemed so very loud. Definitely a gem of a place in this little town."
