"My stay at the Super 8 Peru, Illinois was a very pleasant relief at the end of a very long day of travel. Exactly what you hope for, friendly; clean; quiet; I felt safe and had a really restful stay. Plenty in the immediate area, food, fuel, shopping. Just off the Interstate... But you wouldn't know it, Definitely will be my first choice next time I'm in the area. Mitz was fabulous at the front desk, very helpful!"

"The staff was very nice, from check in to check out. The room was very clean. Lots of towels. Nice breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We were very pleased with it."

"This hotel is advertised as being completely remodeled. There's been major work done, but there are still issues. The bathroom door had issues closing. There must have been a bump in the floor, since it scraped across this to close completely. The paint job in the bathroom didn't appear to be completed properly. May have been missing part of the door frame that made the colors look off. There was a piece of duct tape in the center of the ceiling in the bedroom, but don't know why it was there. The door had been painted for the room, but there were several dents in the door. Going out the side door to the parking lot, the door didn't latch completely, which defeats the security purpose of having to use your key to enter the building. Also, the elevator at the front of the building was not in service. Tried calling the front desk, by dialing zero as stated on the sign in the room, which didn't work as indicated. Still needs some fine tuning to make sure everthing is in working order."

Charming dog-friendly bungalow near Starved Rock

"Tania’s place was so cozy and comfortable. We needed to relax after health issues and her home was the perfect place to have some downtime on the sun porch but it was also close enough to explore Starved Rock State Park and the lodge, which is just one town over. Communication was easy with Tania and she has the kitchen stocked so well that it was easy to cook. We feel refreshed and grateful. We’ll be back!"
