The rooms are very spaceios but old . You feel as if you are in the 90s , carpet is so old and and taggedy . Very cheap when it cones to complimentary items . Will never go back or recommend the hotel to anyone

Good quality hotel
Very good quality and spacious room - and good value for money. Staff were also very pleasant and courteous, and arranged a car to take us to the airport at a reasonable price. Only fault i found was the poor quality of the wifi - almost non existent on our floor.

We arrived at 6am from an overnight flight . The hotel was empty and rooms available but they wouldn't let us in until 9am unless we paid half the room rate . I always wonder about hotels with those rules ? They never give you a rebate if you arrive 5 hours after checkin time or leave 5 hours early . We waited until nine and finally checked into our non smoking room which had an ash tray , one towel and one cup - there was 2 of us ! The carpet was filthy , their was a view , but you couldn't see anything as the windows were caked with muck. Next day , they made up the room and left -- one towel ! We stayed 2 nights and ordered an airport taxi the night before to leave at 5 am in the morning together with a wake up call they said taxis weren't available at that time but we could take a hotel provided limousine for not much more . They forgot the wake up call and the limousine ( which was an 8 year old Camry with a driver dressed in jeans and a tee shirt ) showed up 10 minutes late . We noticed a couple of taxis outside as we waited. What more can we say !

we arrived at the hotel at 2am and the staff were friendly one problem was that a cot we had ordered was not in the room we were met at the airport and they managed to get all the luggage in the one car there were 3 adults a baby 4 suitcases and a stroller well done guys

Near the Islamic Museum and the Souk
This was a nice hotel within walking distance of the Islamic Museum and the Souk. The area is a little spooky at night for a woman alone but fine in a group. I found the restaurants overpriced but the hotel itself offered good value.

We needed a place to crash with a 8 hour layover in Doha between two huge flights. It was close to the airport (about 45 qatari for the taxi) and was convenient for this. We paid about $77. The place was fine. It was super dated and dark...a little hotel California feeling. That said, we got in and out and slept well.

Hotel needs refurb. WiFi doesn't work. AC in room not working. Overall Hotel needs major reinvestment to bring up to date. Some staff friendly but others seem to be used to customer complaints and ignore comments.

Last Time will stay in Swiss Bell
This is a 3 star hotel. We booked 4 rooms for one night but will never stay in Swiss Bell hotels anywhere in the world again. The hotel carpets in the lobby, corridors and rooms are dirty and stains are all over. The doors and table have scratches and looks used heavily. The reception refuse to give us extra Cards to open the rooms stating that they don't give more than one even if we were 3 in a room due to system limitation, but when we insist on having at least two, then they gave us only 2 where the third traveller had to stay without a key !! At night, one of the rooms occupied by our two friends had a noisy neighbour, we complained 4 times but no one helped us. Until 7 am my friend went and brought the Manager in charge up to the room to hear the noise, then the manager knocked the door and stopped them, but that happened only at 7am !! When we checked out, my friend made a complained to the Head Manager and after a long discussion, the Manager gave us QAR200 ($45) back to us stating that it was the extra cost for the 3rd bed in two room !!!

Nice hotel close to local attractions
This is a good hotel in a good spot in Doha. The rooms are a good size and we're always clean, the staff were very helpful. The food was ok we only had breakfast so can't comment on other restaurants. The pool was far to cold to use and it's not heated so if your not planing a trip over the summer don't plan a trip to the pool, I found this to be the only dirty part of the hotel but I think this is due to the building work in and around the hotel why we was staying. You can walk to some of the local attraction which was nice, and your looking on going out then the taxis are easy enough to get. You could if needed spend some time in your room relaxing as you get a nice living space in the rooms. I can't rate this hotel enough if we went back we would stay again.

Needs some updating in the rooms
The hotel needs a makeover. Carpet especially needs replacing. Too much furniture in our room, as well as a huge support column which blocked what could have been a fantastic view. Our room was also just meters away from the local minaret! The swimming pool was wedged between the two hotel towers. Not much sunlight around the pool. Plus, a large construction project looked over the pool, not much privacy. Old carpet was being stored down the side of the building where our pool chairs looked onto. Not very attractive. Also, the 3 days we were there, there were only several hours that the wi-fi actually worked. Very frustrating. The hotel staff were kind and tried to be helpful when asked.

Great Stopover Hotel
Bathroom was a little outdated and a few items needed securing back on to the wall. Overall the room was very big, had a sofa ceiling to floor windows which was great. Buffet LUNCH IN Maxhill Restaurant inside the hotel was lovely.

The hotel staff are very freindly and professional. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The room service food is great. The front desk staff day night shift are the best. The doormen and parking staff are extremly friendly people and are very helpful. Anyone would enjoy staying at this hotel.

Complimentary water and coffee are a joke
Check out was super slow, with minimal amount of courtesy, only two little bottles of water and two coffee sachets, that's it. Start paying for next. Room comfort, bed cleanliness and room service were fine. Bathroom facilities were good too. Overall ? Worth it's price.

This place is an average working guys hotel. Nothing special. The room was enourmous. The wifi was out for the entire night I was there on a stopover. Its a bit of a walk to Soug Waqif but doable. Fine for a night or two.

Expected Swiss hospitality so was disappointed by reception. Room was nice and large but carpet was not installed properly and greatly detracted from the room's presentation. Water pressure was too low and it was hard to get the temperature right in the shower. Thermostat did not regulate well so room was too cold. We consider the hotel good because the room size was excellent and if they'd just have the carpet pulled to lay flat and demonstrate more courtesy at the front desk it would be superb!
