![The falls at Micalong Creek just south of Wee Jasper. Wee Jasper is a small village with a population of around 275 people, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, although it swells to nearly 2000 over the Christmas/New Year period. Its eighty minutes North West of Canberra and 45 minutes South West of Yass nestled not far from the Goodradigbee River and the Hume and Hovell walking track. 

Be warned there is not much there, both the General Store and Hotel where closed until further notice when I visited so take your own provisions.

« Used to stay here often when kids were little 30 years ago. As for the room not much has changed?! Room maintenance leaves a lot to be desired, although room was clean and bed comfy. When booking website advertised buffet breakfast and great restaurant. No buffet but could only choose 4 items from the cooked menu. Restaurant not open that week. Wouldn't stay agsin and wouldnt recommend. »

« The booked room was unavailable due to residual aroma after pest extermination. The electrics in the 2 rooms were unsafe, numerous power boards and loose power switches. One TV was unplugged from numerous connections from a power board under the bed and the other TV could only receive 2 channels. At 0715 a high pitched squeal occurred when the adjoining unit’s shower was being used. A dripping tap from the nearby en suite was a nuisance. 2 night’s stay was not enjoyable. »

« Our stay in a Tiny Home on Lea and her family’s property was lovely. The place was small but had everything we needed, and had the most glorious views. Waking up to sheep grazing and birds chirping was entirely restorative. The location gave us ready access to the local areas of Yass and Murrumbateman, with plenty to do (and eat and drink!) Lea was friendly, communicative and hospitable and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. »
