"I went back and forth on how to rate this resort. There are definitely positives, but a few key issues shaped my experience.
The property is well maintained and small enough that it’s easy to navigate. The beach is beautiful, and I really appreciated that vendors were respectful—if you said no, they moved on without pressure. The room was also great: clean, comfortable, and nicely set up.
The biggest downside was the food. The buffet was mediocre at best—edible, but not enjoyable. I can’t speak to the specialty restaurants because there was never any availability during my stay. That may be partly on me for not reserving earlier, but it was still disappointing given the weak buffet options.
Staff members were very nice though. Always smiling.
Another issue was departure. Ubers aren’t allowed on the property. We had to walk about 20 minutes outside the resort to meet our ride, along a busy and somewhat unsafe road. No one at the resort would assist us with a cart, which made it even more frustrating. They were basically like: Good luck!
Because of the food and the departure experience, I likely won't return. But I am persuadable with a good price!"
