« Beautiful location in the forest right next to the lake. It’s a very warm and cozy feeling. Just walk out the back door and you are within several feet of the shoreline. The only concern is to be aware of the stairs waI would recommend for anyone who wants to be on the lake and in a forest setting. « Our visit to The Painted Porch was fantastic. The home, neighborhood and time of year made for a perfect getaway with our dogs. We enjoyed the historic nature of the property, and appreciated that it was well appointed, maintained, clean and comfortable for modern life.
