The avenues of palm trees are spectacular and the fernery such a lovely, shady place to escape the heat. Our favourite part by far are the trees the fruit bats call home; listen, and look up – you'll ear them chattering, and see them hanging upside down with their furry bodies turned to the sun, every so often you'll see one or two stretch their wings, or even fly from one roost to another.
