Burkey's place is beautiful, well stocked and relaxing! We went with two young kids, and we enjoyed the ability to wash our clothes and make dinner, while still being in a unique Jungle setting. Would definitely recommend, especially to a couple or two couples traveling together.

We stayed one night as it was close to the airport and we knew we’d be arriving in the dark. The hostess and her family were so lovely and welcoming. We arrived later than expected and though we had not reserved a dinner meal the hostess graciously made us some sandwiches. The breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again in a heart beat. This place is a gem.

I had a great time at The Champs - gracious and accommodating hosts Lise and Hans made sure all of my needs were met, including local transportation, as well as to and from the airport. I went to Dominica for the Jazz Festival, and became one of their "posse" for the main event. All of this while they continue to restore The Champs from the damage incurred from Hurricane Maria last year. Simple but delicious breakfasts and dinners. Amazing location and view. We were very impressed with the property. Staff were fantastic. Breakfast was great. Our room ws clean and comfortable. It is a bit off the beaten track, and the road to get up there is rough so if taking a taxi, make sure the taxi includes the drive all the way up there. We heard that some drop you off on the main road, and it would be quite the hike, especially with bags.
