« We wanted to stay forever and weren't ready to leave after 5 days. It was clean, and it is so high up in the treetops that the morning sunrise and birding wildlife are next-level spectacular to enjoy (hummingbirds, stellars jays, deer). We stayed in the middle of July which was not an issue for the A/C unit in the bedroom upstairs. There is a vent from the bedroom that pumps air down to the second floor. « The location was a perfect stay for us. We wanted to do activities during the day and rest at night and it’s close enough to Colorado Springs that we could easily drive there in 30 minutes. « My husband and I always like to stay in VRBO’s when traveling. This trip took us to Colorado for a concert at Red Rocks and we were lucky to have discovered the Velvet Pine. This new “vintage glam” home is a gem. The numerous and thoughtful amenities inside and out, a visit from two deer and send-off from a roaming black moose down the street, all provided a special stay with amazing views. I would call this a Diamond in the Woods! »
