The room was on the 3rd floor outside the lift and was noisy. However,it was adequate with a comfortable double bed and a small, albeit dirty bathroom. We had a knock to our door at check out time by two men which we assumed were hotel staff. As we soon discovered at reception, they were tour operators trying to get us to book a car and driver around Rajasthan. They had come to our hotel room door!!! Trust me when I say it’s bad enough dealing with all this hassle outside never mind in your hotel where you should be able to escape it all! After exploring Delhi we came back to the hotel to use the WiFi (as it was good) and plan our trip some more. Again there were a lot of men sitting around the small reception area seemingly doing nothing. One man took his mobile out, spoke and conveniently enough the same two tour operators walked in to the hotel again!! We booked this hotel as it was walking distance from the train station and met our needs for the night, however it wasnt really that close. The rooms have air conditioning and are clean (I suggest asking for a room without carpet. It feels cleaner with hard floors). The owner is very helpful and friendly. It's a 5 minute rickshaw ride to the nearest metro station or you can walk 10 minutes. Room a little noisey and no tea/coffee making facilities in room. In a lively street just off Desh Bandhu Gupta Road, we felt very safe in this area, even though it is very busy. Området utanför är väldigt rörigt, som det är i Indien. Gupta Road är mycket hårt trafikerat. Hotellet ligger c:a 1 km från metro och det finns många hotell i Paharganj som ligger närmare. Deuxième hotel de mon périple en Inde, j'ai passé quelque jours en décembre dans cet hotel. En bref : les + : - prix très bas - Un charme de fou - équipe compétente et pas de "squatteur-vendeur" - restaurant exilent sur le toit, avec vue sur les environs. - Idéal pour des jeunes en escale brèves - Quartier idéalement desservie par tout les moyens de transport possible (heureusement, car le quartier est nul) Les - : - On était en décembre et le chauffage ne marchait pas (mais bon apparemment il n'y avait que nous) - le quartier n'est pas touristique du tout, rien à visiter, juste une sucession de restaurant et d'hotel. Très animé, il y'a des especes de petit marché où les indiens viennent faire leur courses. Quartier très bruyant, et moyennement rassurant. - Isolation sonore très moyenne. Idéal pour des jeunes, vraiment il y'a pas photo sa vaut le détour. Par contre pour une famille ou des personnes agés souhaitant rester longtemps, il risque d'être un peu fatiguant je pense.
