New Delhi is an unpredictable city. Women have to stay safe n be aware at all times. The food rocks here. Shopping is good. Lots of places to see. Best to go with hotel based recommendations if you don’t know anyone. You need to be safe at all times.
Just be aware of the Tuk Tuks. You ask them to take you to a destination but they take you elsewhere for shopping because they receive a commission. The pollution is really bad and you may need a mask.
My wife is from New Delhi. We basically went there to shop and to visit relatives and to eat out. Most of the shopping was done at Rajouri Garden. My wife is very happy with the dresses she brought from Rajouri Gardens.
City for History lovers but be prepared for traffic and pollution...
