Room Mate Bruno, Rotterdam

10/10 Excellent

"Room Mate Bruno is perfectly situated in Rotterdam. We were actually visiting for the World Gymnastics Championships, which were at the Ahoy! Arena. The station is just a five minute walk from the hotel, and the arena was, I think, only three stops on the train. It is directly opposite the cruise terminal, so perfectly situated for before or after a cruise. The centre of Rotterdam is about 5 minutes on the train, but Rotterdam is pretty small, and we walked around all the attractions in a day. Our room was a very good size, and was clean. There was a kettle, coffee maker, and safe. The hotel is done in a modern style, not my thing really, but the bed was comfortable. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, and a Food Hall attached to the hotel (like a food court). The hotel also has a small gym, sauna, and little area where you can buy drinks snacks. We would stay there again! The only think I didn’t like, apart from the colourful rooms, was there could be more lighting in the bedroom."

Hotel Royal Bridges

10/10 Excellent

"The rooms we had were on the ground floor facing onto the street so we were a little concerned about whether we would be disturbed on a Friday night but we needn't have. We had a great night's sleep. The staff at the hotel were accomodating and allowed us to leave our bags before and after checking out as we explored the local area. I borrowed a bike from the hotel to cycle to 'bag' my Z Park Run at Zuiderpark in the Hague!"

citizenM Rotterdam

10/10 Excellent

"Citizen M is located directly across the road from the Markt Hall which from an aesthetic point of view beautiful but also full of an amazing array of foods, perfect after a days sightseeing. The hotel itself is self check in and out which suited me fine but there are always members of staff around to help you,the rooms are spacious and the bed absolutely huge and very comfortable. All operated by an i-pad which is a nice touch and very easy to use even if you are not computer/tablet savvy. The hotel is around 25 minutes walk from Centraal station but all flat or the Rotterdam Blaak station is also opposite the hotel so caters for all, i personally walked to and from the hotel including with my luggage and it was no issue. I would reccomend the hotel for its location making it easy to explore ( the old harbour is also behind the hotel which is lovely) plenty of food and drink options on your doorstep and the added bonus of a 24 hour bar/restaurant in the hotel which is a great bonus, add to that the comfortable rooms you cant really go wrong."

Riva Hotel The Hague

8/10 Good

"Overall very happy with our stay. Greeted on arrival, the guy on reception was very polite and helpful. The bed was huge in the queen room and the room spotless. The only issue was one night there were fireworks being set off in the car park-obviously I have no idea if they were connected with the hotel or if they have any control (if it is a private space or public), however the noise wasn't an issue but the debris that covered the cars in the car park. We left the next day for a trip to find the car covered in debris and pieces off the fireworks meaning we then spent €6 getting the car clean again. It didn't happen again for the remainder of our trip and we would still stay here again if in the area"
