"Staff very nice, Clean hotel, comfortable bed"

"I stayed overnight at the Publick House for my next days visit to Old Sturbridge Village. What a wonderful stay and the restaurant at the inn is fantastic. Make sure to make a reservation for though —It’s worth the effort. I ordered the Jumbo Crab Cake adorned with a lovely house made cole slaw and paired it with a local draft beer. Good eating New England style! The property is very well maintained and beautifully landscaped. Great check in experience as well. I’m looking forward to my next stay. "

"First, the staff here are excellent. Really helpful and kind and friendly. From the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeeping staff. They were all wonderful. The decor is nice, the grounds are well kept, the location is great. The only fault (and I get that this is a big one) was that there is a deep musty odor in the rooms. After a while you get used to it, but it seems like there is something going on that the company needs to address. This isn't something that the staff onsite can deal with, and I want to be clear that they made our stay as lovely as possible. BUT I WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN, IN SPITE OF ALL THE GREAT THINGS ABOUT IT."

"The staff was friendly and helpful. Very clean through out the whole Hotel. Breakfast was good but a little high priced. Pancakes where wonderful! The hotel was not our type of hotel. Lights where very dime through the hotel and our room. It is an old factory made into an Hotel. To much concrete and very plain. We are in our 70's not out type of Hotel. If ou like that look then I would reamend it. "

"The room was acceptably clean, details are always an issue everywhere. Very annoying was an odor that smelled like covered up dog pee. It might have just been the cleaning chemicals that I’m not used to."

"We booked an accessible room for my elderly, disabled parents. The bathroom was great, but the chair in the room was a bench facing the beds which did not allow tv viewing. The beds, though comfortable, were the only other option, but strangely, they were very low to the ground so my parents were unable to rise from them without assistance. At their age, there were several nighttime trips to the bathroom so no one got much rest. A microwave and Trophy Room menus in the rooms would be nice."

"We had a lovely stay here. The rooms were very clean, and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful throughout our visit. A special thank you to the team for their communication—the carpet had been cleaned right before we arrived and was still slightly damp, but they called ahead to check if we were okay with it and made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast had minimal options, but the quality was still very good and everything we tried was delicious. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again!"
